Assistant Director, LGO Admissions and Marketing
MIT Leaders for Global Operations
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, ADMISSIONS AND MARKETING, Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) Program, to be responsible for recruiting a strong, diverse class of 48-50 students to a dual-degree MBA and engineering master’s program. Will lead a collaborative admissions effort of LGO staff, students, alumni and diverse stakeholders across MIT and the LGO partner companies; lead the development and execution of an admissions strategy aimed at significantly increasing the pool of qualified applicants; provide hands-on leadership for all aspects of the admissions process; be responsible for the overall marketing strategy and branding by overseeing design, production, and dissemination of print collateral, social media channels, and web content; and handle other duties/projects as needed. REQUIRED: a bachelor’s degree; at least five years’ experience in a university setting that includes two years in admissions; experience in a higher education marketing function; demonstrated success articulating and executing admissions strategy; experience working with corporate partners in a university/nonprofit setting; ability to work effectively with staff, students, faculty, and a range of stakeholders across MIT and elsewhere; flexibility; ability to make independent decisions, working both independently and collaboratively; experience with social media and website management; discretion with confidential materials/issues; excellent written and verbal communication skills; experience planning recruiting visits and presenting to prospective candidate audiences in a public setting; proficiency with MS Office and using database reports; experience managing admissions software/CRM/databases; and excellent project management skills, especially managing projects with multiple, disjointed stakeholders. An MBA or a graduate degree in a relevant discipline, such higher education preferred; as is supervisory experience and knowledge of Technolutions’ Slate and WordPress or another content management system.
