Marketing Manager
Cure SMA
Cure SMA is a growing national non-profit organization, seeking to raise its public profile and expand its base of donors and supporters. The marketing manager will be a key part of Cure SMA’s marketing communications team, and their role will be primarily focused on these efforts to reach new audiences. The marketing manager should have a strong background in earned media/public relations, paid search and display advertising, SEO, email marketing, social media, etc. The marketing manger should be comfortable working independently, and alongside their peers on the marketing communications team. Cure SMA leads the way to a world without spinal muscular atrophy, the number one genetic cause of death for infants. We fund and direct comprehensive research that drives breakthroughs in treatment and care, and we provide families the support they need for today. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience in database, email marketing, and content management systems; Salesforce or Luminate/Convio preferred, but experience in similar systems will be considered. HTML familiarity. Proficiency in Google analytics, Google AdWords, and Cision or similar tools. The manager will assist in setting budgets for several areas that are critical to their job. The manager will also be responsible for ensuring those funds are used effectively and properly, and will provide regular reporting and recommendations to their supervisor. The manager will be charged with making tactical decisions within a strategic framework set by their supervisor and other members of the Cure SMA leadership team. Problems encountered are likely to be both routine and complex. The manager will be expected to exercise good independent judgment in resolving routine issues, and will bring more complex issues to the attention of their supervisor for collaborative problem solving. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but requires walking, sitting, traveling, and occasionally standing, bending, reaching, lifting boxes, and unloading supplies. Requires ability to lift 25 pounds or less.
