The American Lung Association - National Office has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Marketing & Communications. Working as a member Marketing & Communications Team, you will join an outstanding group of professionals dedicated to our mission: to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease, through research, education and advocacy.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing marketing and communications plans and deliverables for mission programs and grant-funded marketing campaigns. Develop and manage the marketing strategy and tactics to maximize the reach and impact of health-focused messaging and campaigns. Work closely with VP, Marketing and Communications and Director, Marketing Programs to successfully promote health education and research initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead marketing communications projects and campaigns for the American Lung Association health education and research staff, managing timelines, deliverables and content. Lead planning and brainstorming meetings with marketing and communications staff. Develop and maintain marketing communications calendar, manage weekly update calls and provide regular reports on campaign/communication plan progress to key staff. Manage American Lung Association review, vetting and approval process for marketing content. Manage relationships with field staff and coordinate promotional activities through field offices, as needed. Develop and execute communications and marketing plans. Identify key audiences; develop objectives and key performance indicators; owned, earned and paid media tactics. Develop and disseminate marketing collateral material. Develop project timelines and budget (if applicable). Write marketing content that can include promotional collateral copy, blog posts, e-mail and web content, social media posts and radio PSA’s. Develop marketing collateral content and work with graphic design staff to finalize marketing assets, which can include fliers, one-pagers, rack cards, brochures, infographics, social media images, web banners, e-signatures, print ads and more. Work with marketing staff on ad-hoc promotional activities, provide guidance and expertise on advertising strategies, video and photo assets and scripts. Manage the development and distribution of printed and electronic program materials, as needed. Collaborate with American Lung Association staff to implement schedules and monitor work progress. Monitor key performance indicators at a program level to identify and address any issues and champion success stories.
