Reports to President/CEO, and serving as an integral organizational leader on Easterseals executive management team (Mteam). The VP of Integrated Marketing & Communications is responsible for overseeing Easterseals marketing and communication activities to strengthen brand marketing, drive philanthropy, advance other organizational priorities; and, increase Easterseals’ ability to provide services and advocacy. Lead team of PR/Communication professionals with the primary emphasis on driving all public relations, communications, media, and engagement for the organization at National and Affiliate network, across multi-communications channels including both internal and external communication.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Leads development, implementation and continuous improvement of an integrated marketing and communications strategies and supporting programs to advance Easterseals’ priorities and services.
Identify challenges and emerging issues faced by the organization, working with executive management team and staff to recognize internal and external marketing, communications and opportunities, solutions and execute appropriate strategies to support them.
Provides leadership and support to the Affiliates on the creation, development, and measurement of marketing and communications efforts.
Leads key areas of integrated marketing and communications efforts, advancing: brand development, implementation and marketing; multichannel marketing to raise awareness of and engagement with Easterseals among key stakeholders; website strategy and support to promote engagement; public relations, including effective use of media; and, executive and internal communications to increase understanding, alignment, engagement, and benefit across Easterseals.
Oversees crisis/issue-based communications and media, nationally and locally.
Leads marketing and communications efforts to improve Easterseals’ success in core service impact areas and advance Easterseals’ public policy priorities.
Collaborates with and supports Development, Public Affairs, Affiliate and Network Advancement, Strategic Initiatives, and other national office departments and activities.
Assists in the development of resources to support the marketing and communications activities of the organization.
Participates in formulating and administering policies and developing long-range goals and objectives.
Develops mechanisms which evaluate and assure the quality of the organization’s marketing and communications efforts.
Plans, organizes, staffs, manages and evaluates all aspects of the department, including priority setting and achievement, budget development and execution, personnel oversight, and reporting duties.
Represents the organization before professional groups, civic organizations and other interested groups, interpreting the mission, impact and value of Easterseals.
