Outreach and Marketing Coordinator (APTDIE Division)
We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated professional faculty member to strengthen our dynamic outreach and administrative team within the College of Education and Human Development's Division of Advanced Professional Teacher Development and International Education (https://gse.gmu.edu/div-apt/). In alignment with marketing and recruitment initiatives at the College and University levels, the APTDIE Outreach and Marketing Coordinator will develop and implement marketing and advertising campaigns targeting educators and administrators in an effort to generate awareness and strengthen enrollment in the graduate programs within the APTDIE Division. This full-time position gives the incumbent a flexible work schedule, a supportive work environment, and opportunities to creatively design and enhance our marketing and outreach efforts. Plan, execute, and manage strategic recruitment initiatives focused on the cultivation of enrollment-generating relationships with school districts and agencies in regional, national and international venues
Serve as liaison to the College-level Office of Admissions on behalf of the Division and its graduate programs
Serve as liaison to other Mason academic and administrative units focused on enrollment marketing and recruitment
Use historical data regarding retention, registration, and enrollment growth to assist in forecasts and financial projections to support Division leadership in budget management and course planning and scheduling
Work closely with the Division Director and Academic Program Coordinators to implement marketing and advertising campaigns for the Division's graduate programs
Keep promotional materials ready and up-to-date by coordinating requirements for the production and dissemination of these materials
Build rapport with prospective clients and students through information sessions, one-on-one meetings/advising sessions, and broader communications to support them through the application process
Update the prospective student database and track applicants from initial contact through enrollment
Accomplish enrollment goals by accepting ownership for new and different task requirements and exploring new opportunities as they arise
Seek untapped avenues for marketing the unique graduate programs within the APTDIE Division
Master's degree, or a Bachelor's degree with significant experience that equates to a Master's degree
Self-starter with strong and effective intercultural communication and marketing skills
Ability to build relationships with prospective school districts and agencies for long-term sustainable delivery of APTDIE programs
Skilled in the use of technology that can be used to find and track prospective students and applicants, including social media applications
Successful record in recruitment, marketing and/or business development
At least 3 years of experience with multi-modal marketing and outreach initiatives in K-12 education, teacher education or higher education
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
