Advertised Summary Job Description: Reporting to the Department Administrator and Chair, the Marketing and Strategy Manager will develop and execute strategic and tactical marketing plans which will drive brand awareness and utilization of Columbia University Irving Medical Center Dermatology services, for both the Clinical Dermatology and Dermatopathology divisions. Responsibilities will include identifying and implementing key strategic growth initiatives, identifying and fostering relationships to drive business referrals and patient relationships, producing collateral, media and management of web content and social media platforms to enhance the reputation and online presence of the Department of Dermatology. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the specialty and primary care landscape in NYC, demonstrate innovative approaches to strategic expansion of services, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, writing and research capabilities, and have mastered a variety of existing social media platforms. The Marketing and Strategy Manager will develop strong understanding of CUIMC Dermatology brand identity and work to maintain and promote brand integrity throughout all internal and external marketing efforts. The incumbent will develop and maintain relationships with marketing communications teams from the Department's institutional partners to ensure that all internal resources are leveraged effectively in support of departmental goals. In partnership with the Department Administrator and the Chair, the Marketing and Strategy Manager will support Clinical Dermatology through building brand awareness, driving patient volumes, identifying key relationships and potential practice sites. The incumbent will support Dermatopathology through direct to referral outreach, identifying additional opportunities to grow referral volumes and business relationship management. General Minimum Qualifications: ? Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or related field. ? A minimum of four years of health-care related work experience in strategy and marketing. Additional Specific Minimum Qualifications: ? Strong leadership, communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, and an exceptional ability to work cross functionally with internal and external agency partners to achieve marketing goals; ability to lead without authority ? Excellent project management capabilities, good analytical and conceptual abilities, self-starter initiative and team orientation. ? Strong communication, presentation and inter-personal skills ? Must have attention to detail, execution, and follow-through ? Experience with or knowledge of the Dermatology landscape in New York City, preferred. ? Medical, science, or technology writing skills and experience. Strong copywriting skills and ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively ? Experience with event planning/coordination and management of project logistics from conception to execution ? Familiarity with website content management, email marketing (iContact or similar), social media management, and experience producing digital content ? Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign), Microsoft office suite, and familiar with print layout and design ? Knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Hootsuite, Instagram, Tumblr, Google +, Google Docs, and Email Marketing Software (ie. Constant Contact, MailChimp). Familiarity using Google Adwords, Analytics, Insights, Google Display Network, and custom ad placement. Preferred Qualifications: As a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Council of Ivy Group Presidents (Ivy League), it is imperative that members of the Columbia University community, in all matters related to the intercollegiate athletics program, exhibit the highest professional standards and ethical behavior with regard to adherence to NCAA, Conference, University, and Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education rules and regulations.
