AvMed Health Plan (AvMed) in Miami, Florida has retained Witt/Kieffer to assist in their search for a Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer.
AvMed is one of Florida's oldest and largest not-for-profit health plans with over 270,000 total members in the commercial, Medicare, individual and self-funded lines of business. AvMed has consistently received awards for highest member and physician satisfaction. Their Medicare program has a 4.0 STAR rating. SantaFe HealthCare (SFHC), the not-for-profit parent company of AvMed, has revenues of over $1 billion and the principal affiliates, in addition to managed care/health insurance, operate in the advance illness/end-of-life, and senior living industries.
This executive will have enterprise level responsibility and accountability in effectively and efficiently leveraging technology, people and process in delivering a unique and differentiated member experience. Through the effective execution of many programs such as brand and product strategy, segment marketing, new sales & renewal strategy, member engagement, and public relations initiatives, this role will be accountable for the development, implementation and achievement of the enterprise-wide growth and profitability strategy.
The Chief Marketing Officer will be responsible for ensuring optimal member experience through sales, retention and member engagement, while instituting a formal process for capturing, analyzing and acting on member feedback, and identifying targeted customers and their needs/expectations. Additionally, in collaboration with Product Life Cycle management, this individual will be responsible for creating products/services that are simple to use and easy to embrace for customers while optimizing their health and wellness to ensure that AvMed's products/services facilitate the use of aligned provider relationship to deliver a unique customer experience. In collaboration with CEO, COO and SVP-HR, the Chief Marketing Officer is also responsible for leadership development and talent management of associates, including establishing a leadership climate that contributes to a highly engaged and diverse workforce committed to AvMed’s vision, mission, values, core beliefs, service philosophy, and service standards. The Chief Marketing Officer will be responsible for a domain consisting of approximately 128 associates.
As a mission driven leader, the ideal candidate will possess 10+ years of experience in a complex and diversified healthcare/health insurance company with a focus on customer sales/retention and marketing; preferably with a minimum of 5 years at the executive level. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is required, while a Master's degree and/or equivalent experience is preferred. Experience across a broad range of disciplines including sales, advertising, marketing, communications and product development is required.
