Based in New York City and reporting to the Executive Director, Alumni Engagement in NYC, the Alumni Engagement Assistant provides administrative support for the Executive Director, Alumni Engagement.
This position is responsible for assisting with scheduling and coordinating engagement programming, reconciling business expenses, coordinating monthly actual to budget updates, maintaining office supplies and records, and making travel arrangements.
The position also provides staffing and logistics support for all alumni events and programs taking place in the New York Region, which boasts the highest concentration of SU Alumni in the world.
This individual under the direction of the Executive Director, Alumni Engagement in NYC and the Executive Director, Communications & Digital Engagement, will coordinate regional communications including NYC Regional digital communications including SU in NYC social media channels, the design and execution of program invitations, coordination of the NYC Regional newsletter, and updating and maintenance of the nyc.syr.edu website.
The Alumni Engagement Assistant will develop strong collaborative relationships with Syracuse University alumni, friends, students, family, and NYC/campus colleagues.
