POSITION SUMMARY: Assist General Manager with all marketing efforts resulting in increased sales, traffic and income.
To assist with marketing, advertising, public relations, event planning and budgeting practices.
To assist in execution of marketing programs that drive traffic and sales.
To assist in developing sponsorship and event opportunities to increase income.
To nurture and develop ongoing retail partnerships with tenants including solicitation for participating in marketing programs.
Assist General Manager in developing and maintaining tourism program including relationship building (i.e. area hotels, group tour operators, area attractions), meet & greet tour groups, tracking tourism programs, soliciting retailers for participation, etc.
To assist with maintaining a professional physical appearance of common areas of the Center including marketing materials, signage, displays, etc. and ensuring that all displayed information is current and relevant.
To assist with on and offsite events. This requires a flexibility in work hours including weekends.
To perform maintenance functions/tracking on ongoing programs such as, college and tourism programs.
Maintain website and social media programs.
To perform filing, data entry, and other office duties.
Assist General Manager in supervising intern and delegating responsibilities.
Bachelor’s degree with concentration in marketing, communications or business.
2+ years experience in marketing, advertising, tourism and/or event management.
Proficient in computer usage, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint. Basic graphic design skills and knowledge of design programs, such as, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. a plus.
