As the Head of Marketing Analytics, this position will be the founding member of the analytics group in marketing. This position will contribute at a very high-level but must also be comfortable rolling up his/her sleeves and being in the weeds. The ideal person for this role will be a self-motivated achiever who combines a deep interest in solving business challenges and a passion for data-driven decision-making; with demonstrated strong analytical capabilities, database and analytical competencies, and meticulous attention to detail. What you'll do: Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Lead marketing analytics initiatives with a specific focus on conversion funnel (CPA) optimization, attribution modeling, user segmentation / cohort modeling and core marketing KPI dashboards. Own analytics tools, measurements and data hygiene including validation, testing, and roadmap development as it pertains to the marketing analytics 'stack'. Importantly, this also means tool evaluation, set-up & integration w/in the defined analytics stack. Partner with internal stakeholders to develop analyses that lead to actionable insights that accelerate growth; create strong alignment and collaboration with other internal functions (product, sales, etc.) to help align / correlate marketing impact with business operations / needs. Collect and synthesize relevant information about the user/prospect behavior, competitive landscape, and industry trends to make recommendations that optimizes the user experience – with the goal of driving conversions and usage. Leverage complex customer/transactional data sets through data mining and predictive modeling techniques (Proficiency with tools like Python, SAS, R highly desired). Create user-specific lifetime value models based on transactional behavior and costs incurred. Develop user segmentation model based on key drivers of lifetime value to drive marketing initiatives that increase revenue per user Develop and manage complete suite of reporting on all drivers of lifetime value; circulate high-level marketing dashboards to senior leadership Manage, prioritize and execute steady stream of robust ad hoc analyses as requested by stakeholders; sample analyses include: Assessing financial impact of various marketing promotions Evaluating lifetime value or attractiveness of new acquisition channels Determining right segments and timing for promotional trigger marketing communications Develop and implement consistent tracking strategies across marketing programs (e.g., pixeling, UTM codes); troubleshooting and finding solutions to support consistency What you'll need: Passion for shared economy services and innovation; ability to thrive in a fast-paced, highly-entrepreneurial environment and drive team success At least 5-7 years applying analytic techniques in a marketing organization; proficiency with web/email analytics, media attribution modeling, budgeting, lifetime value modeling Deep expertise with relational databases, data mining techniques, and SQL Equal comfort in measuring B2B and B2C marketing efforts Breadth of data mining methods (e.g., cluster analysis, regressions, decision trees, predictive modeling) Ability to synthesize data sets and communicate
