Student Health Services is seeking a Digital Marketing Coordinator. This is a full-time (1.00 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Executive Director.
The Digital Marketing Coordinator works to enrich the digital experience of SHS' internal and external audiences through creation and maintenance of its digital assets. With a focus on improving the structure, accessibility, organization and richness of content for all sites and social media channels, the coordinator helps to grow and improve SHS' digital presence. This position would be part of the marketing and communications team within Student Health.
SHS leads campus efforts to promote the optimal health and well-being of the Oregon State University community. We create safe, healthy and supportive learning and living environments and help students build the necessary competencies for life-long health and wellness. We do this through holistic and comprehensive clinical care, prevention, wellness and advocacy work.
Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Digital Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the planning, implementation, and coordination of all digital marketing services to meet the current and projected needs of the department. In cooperation with internal programs and other University departments, the coordinator oversees technical development, content creation and production, and accessibility.
Typically requires Bachelor's degree in field related to the discipline of the college, unit or department with professional communications and marketing experience.
Bachelor's degree in English, new media, communications, computer science, marketing, design, or related field OR Associate's degree in English, new media, communications, computer science, marketing, design, or related field AND three years of experience in user interface design (UI), user experience (UX), marketing, or web design/development OR Five years of experience in user interface design (UI), user experience (UX), communications, marketing, or web design/development in place of a degree
Experience with, and commitment to, universal design principles and/or accessibility principles related to websites, social sites and multimedia
Project management skills including communication, organization, facilitation and independent decision making
Familiarity with the basic principles and standards used for creating accessible web sites, documents, and other digital assets.
Excellent skills in writing clearly and concisely for the web
A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity
This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
A majority of the work will occur in a typical office environment with some periodic work performed outside in a campus setting. The typical work week is Monday-Friday; 8-5, with some occasional evening and weekend hours during sponsored events. These events are likely to occur approximately 2-4 times per year.
