Position Summary The Marketing Media Senior Analyst is a critical position in Tenetï¿½s shift to data-driven marketing and will report to the Manager, Marketing Analytics within the Tenet Strategic Marketing Group (TSMG).
The role requires creative problem solving: working systematically and logically when dealing with complex tasks, exploring alternatives from multiple angles, and evaluating pros and cons to find a solution. The Sr. Marketing Media Analyst should be able to recognize patterns, know that every decision is a multivariate regression equation (hence the quest to identify all the variables in that equation and their weights), possess critical thinking abilities ï¿½ and most of all, be able to see how everything links to the overall objective and mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Work with marketing partners to understand business objectives. Craft analytical requirements and design based on these objectives. Use analysis to develop insights and recommendations to deliver on the business objectives. Review & communicate findings with marketing partners
Partner with IS and manage outside vendors for fulfillment of reporting & analytics projects
Implement best practices & standards to minimize variance and manual intervention
Identify and implement efficiencies/automation related to data intake, processing, QA and dissemination for faster & better execution
Partner with CRM team, Marketing Automation team, Website team, IS team, and third party vendors to maximize the use of data points and derive actionable insights from them
Interact with disparate IT systems to fetch, check, compile and automate the data collection, consolidation and reporting process
Inspire continual innovation and optimization, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous process improvement
Reports, Dashboards and Scorecrd Production
Build, generate & manage ongoing and ad hoc reports, dashboards in Excel and/or Tableau
Analyze large amounts of data to provide actionable insights and strong recommendations
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all reporting & analytics project deliverables
Use SAS, SQL, Access, and/or other tools to code, retrieve and assemble data from multiple databases and execute complex relational database queries
Advanced Analytics, Data Mining and Predictive Modeling
Lead complex analyses of marketing initiatives and media activities.
Continually monitor, track, and refresh analyses to measure success of key initiatives; conduct post-mortems and other operational analyses as needed.
Partner with internal stakeholders on marketing campaigns - understand their information needs and challenges, set up and measure testing, and translate results into actionable analysis
Responsible for pulling, cleaning, manipulating, mining and analyzing data
Develop, execute & maintain predictive models using statistical software such as SAS, SPSS, R
Bachelorï¿½s Degree preferred in Analytics, Statistics, Engineering or related major, or equivalent experience; Masterï¿½s Degree in related field ideal
3+ years of experience in a consumer insights/marketing analytics role
Expert knowledge of analytical software such as SAS, SPSS, R, and/or Python
Proficiency in SQL programming
Retail, travel, hospitality and/or healthcare industry experience preferred
Ability to leverage platforms to blend data from multiple data sources preferred
Experience with visualization tools such as Tableau preferred
Experience with CRM, Marketing Automation, Digital Analytics preferred

Deep knowledge and skills of marketing analytics methodologies & best practices across Reporting, Profiling & Dashboards, Campaign Testing & Measurement, Predictive Modeling, Data Prep & Manipulation and Data Mining
