Background: USA Triathlon is seeking an experienced and driven professional to oversee day-to-day operations for all organizational marketing initiatives, brand-related campaigns, membership acquisition and retention and national event promotions.
Primary Responsibilities: •Supervise a team (Marketing Manager, Marketing Senior Coordinator, Marketing & Business Development Coordinator) that is competent, commercially astute, technologically and digitally advanced, and efficient •Create and execute creative concepts to support marketing and branding campaigns, programs, national/international events (including Olympic/Paralympic Games), and the sport as a whole; collaborate with USA Triathlon business units, comms team and external agencies •Support new participation in the sport and drive membership growth by leveraging business intelligence and analytics in collaboration with Constituent Engagement (Membership) Dept. •Incorporate marketing tactics and strategies as the day-to-day lead for Time to Tri initiative, operated in tandem with IRONMAN •Implement promotional plan to drive registration for USA Triathlon-owned events, including National Championships •Maximize branding opportunities and revenue streams for retail and licensing program
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, business, sports administration or a similar field
Minimum eight years background in sports marketing, with prior management experience
Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communications skills
Software proficiency should include MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Publisher
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously from inception through execution
Willingness to travel and work additional hours as necessary, including nights and weekends
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment as part of a team atmosphere, including effective coordination with other business units
Experience within, or knowledge of, the multisport or endurance industries is encouraged
Must be eligible to work in the United States of America
