The vice president of marketing, communications, and public relations (VP) is responsible for strategy development and operational implementation for a system-wide Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations Department including marketing, brand, digital, social media, communications, provider relations and public relations activities for Phoenix Children’s. This role requires a strategic perspective, a business orientation, an understanding of the relevant array of functions, a focus on staff development and performance, and a high level of productive engagement with the organization's stakeholders. The VP will ensure alignment with system and entity strategies and goals to ensure ongoing success.

The vice president, marketing, communications and public relations will be a proven, strategic marketing and communications professional with a track record of successfully advancing healthcare organizations. The VP will have built and led high performing teams to support significant growth in competitive markets. He/she will have led the development of strategic marketing plans, including strategies for digital marketing. The successful placement will have the knowledge, gravitas and performance orientation to serve as a trusted partner and resource to stakeholders across Phoenix Children's.
10+ years of experience in progressive leadership roles in marketing, communications or public relations
Leadership experience in a hospital or health system. Pediatric experience is a plus
Experience leading the development of a strategic marketing plan
Experience developing digital and/or other emerging approaches to brand development and stakeholder engagement
Master’s degree preferred in business, healthcare administration or related field. Bachelor’s degree with significant leadership experience will also be accepted.
