The George Mason University, School of Business, invites applications for the position of Marketing Manager, Graduate Programs. This position is primarily responsible for managing the myriad of projects and channels related to marketing the School of Business graduate programs.

The Marketing Manager, Graduate Programs has the following responsibilities:
In conjunction with Program Directors, identify new (and work with existing) marketing channels for each program based on the intended audience. Identify relevant, high-impact outlets and procure hyper-local targeted marketing for each program where relevant (e.g., Washington Business Journal, Military MBA). Work with team to procure and execute the marketing/advertising opportunity.
This incumbent will manage marketing-related projects and processes. This includes monitoring the effectiveness of marketing efforts. Requires working closely with the School of Business Marketing and Communication team (MarComm) to coordinate efforts.
In partnership with the MarComm team, the incumbent will:
Ensure messaging is consistent across different marketing channels and aligned with the program as it evolves;
Choose content creation options for digital ads, videos, fliers, mailers, etc. (e.g., internal, vendor, creative services); and
Choose and order program-specific promotional items, among other graduate program marketing activities.
The Marketing Manager will monitor and update the graduate programs marketing/recruitment budgets in conjunction with MarComm and assign expenditures as appropriate across the graduate programs portfolio. The Marketing Manager will develop forecasts and reports on budget status and contributes to the development of the marketing/recruitment budget each year.
The incumbent, in partnership with the Associate Dean of Grad programs, Sr. Assistant Dean of Grad Enrollment, and the Marketing and Communications team, will be primarily responsible for managing day-to-day communication with our marketing partners (e.g., digital marketing).
MarComm Resource Activities:
The incumbent will support MarComm by consulting on broader brand building activities such as general graduate programs promotional items, School of Business visibility marketing outlets (e.g., Metro, newspaper, radio) and identifying sources of graduate program-related stories, articles and spotlights.
Bachelor degree in marketing, business or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Experience with different types of marketing and advertising channels; and
Ability and eagerness to collaborate, work in teams, take initiative, organize, track progress, and communicate effectively.
Experience working in a marketing role in Higher Ed is preferred.
Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
