Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a very strong candidate to play a key role in the firm's priority 'Digitalisation Project', working within the Product Specialist and Marketing team, and supported by a dedicated IT project team to identify and implement revenue and productivity enhancements through digitalisation of key systems and processes. Responsibilities will include assisting the team to complete a digital mapping of all its activities and outputs:
Monitoring and analysis of the asset classes in which the firm is active. This involves tracking key data points, derived from multiple external sources, such as: economic indicators, market activity, supply and demand growth, performance metrics, transaction structures and pricing, and competitor analysis;
Presentation of the business line and funds' investment performance and track record through extensive analytics at transaction, asset and fund level derived from sources including eFront and other, internally-generated, databases;
Updating of firm-wide organisational data including financial and business performance and growth, organisation structure, staffing, policies and functional processes;
Supporting, along with external Business Intelligence providers, web-based developments to facilitate coverage of, and communication with, our extensive investor base.
Outputs spanning these activities are incorporated into a range of deliverables that support the marketing and fundraising process, and key objectives of the role will be to enhance team productivity through quality (data integrity), content (analytical insight) and speed of delivery improvements to improve the fund project management, and investor connectivity process. Digitalisation of many of the deliverables (such as standard DDQs, pitchbooks) to support the marketing and distribution process will be key to success.
You will work closely with key functional teams including IT, Middle Office, Risk and Compliance, Client Services and the firm's Data Quality Manager as well as the investment teams.
The position is London based.
You are likely to have a first graduate degree or subsequent Master's degree in a finance, business or computer science related discipline
You have a keen interest in financial markets and products
You will have previous experience of business intelligence projects, either as a provider or within a client firm such as a financial institution, business or consultancy, and possess the technical, analytical and quantitative skills commensurate with such a role
You are proficient in Excel/VBA, data platforms such as eFront, Bloomberg, Preqin, PitchBook, S&P LCD and applications such as SmartBase
You are self-motivated, intellectually rigorous and curious and a well-organised team player who can make a strong contribution quickly to a rapidly growing firm that has already emerged as a recognized leader in its core activities
You should also demonstrate an ability to foster collaboration with the investment teams and all areas of the firm.
