Responsible for all subscription and single ticket sales
Create and manage marketing plan including overseeing and designing all print, radio, digital, social media and other advertising
Maintain the marketing budget as set by the President & CEO
Responsible for all public relations for the association including press releases and media appearances
Maintain and update website
Create and update events in online system (SRO)
Supervise Marketing Assistant on ticket sales activities
Coordinates the completion of the MasterWorks and Pops program book including gathering all information, soliciting advertising materials and working with outside designer to complete the book.
Coordinates and creates each MasterWorks and Pops concert program insert
Coordinate and create all other concert programs (including educational and Divergent series as needed)
This position may be expanded commensurate with the needs of the department as well as the skills and interests of the employee.

Excellent communication skills

Knowledge of classical music and musical terms
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with Adobe Products (InDesign, Photoshop) preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field preferred
Knowledge of NE Ohio media a plus
About Canton Symphony Orchestra
Formed in 1937, the Canton Symphony Orchestra is a fully professional ensemble under the leadership of music director Gerhardt Zimmermann. It presents a series of 7 Classical concerts, 3 Pops Concerts, an outdoor parks series and a variety of Educational and Outreach Concerts for pre-k to Grade 12 students. As a fulfillment of its mission, the Orchestra has presented Educational programs to the Greater Stark County region since 1972. Programs are aligned with national and state curriculum standards, particularly the state content standards in English, language arts, math, science, social studies, visual arts and music.
