We are seeking an Industry Marketing Manager who will be part of the Transportation, Industrial, Furniture and Floor Coatings team and will be based in Southfield, MI, to support the overall success of the Dispersions & Resins business in North America.
TIF (Transportation, Industrial, Furniture and Floor coatings) business within Dispersions, Resins and Additives regional business unit (N-EDN) is responsible for supplying raw materials to coatings formulators and producers in target industry segments through collaboration with global key accounts, regional customers and distribution partners.
The Dispersions & Resins business of BASF develops, produces and markets a range of high-quality resins, additives, colorants and polymer dispersions worldwide. These raw materials are used in formulations for coatings and paints, printing and packaging products, construction chemicals, adhesives, fiber bondings, nonwovens, and paper manufacturing. We are building the best team to support the growth and needs of our customers. Industry Marketing Manager will manage all marketing activities and drive implementation of relevant strategic measures in order to profitably grow the business while helping set business objectives and priorities as a member of the leadership team. The Industry Marketing Manager is also responsible for leading a team of Market Segment Managers.

Guide and lead industry marketing activities in North America
As member of TIF leadership team, set medium and long-term strategy for the business in order to sustainably deliver strong business performance.
Manage development and implementation of SBU and market segment strategies,
Work closely with global and regional key accounts to deliver, innovative new solutions that will enable their success. Define new growth opportunities and growth segments
Drive profitable volume growth at direct and distribution accounts. Develop a robust target pipeline of new products and customers
Manage the innovation pipeline and portfolio, including identification and prioritization of market needs, preparation of business case, project management and launch activities for all market segments
Accountability for innovation efficiency of the R&D pipeline including all marketing aspects of the product launch process, developing value proposition for new products and target pricing strategy
Develop and implement best practices to enhance organization's marketing excellence with focus on market assessment and research
Collaborate with sales and technical service to optimally allocate commercial resources based on strategic priorities
Represent North American region in global marketing activities, including alignment on global R&D projects
Lead regional development and implementation of SBU strategies
Develop and grow personal relationships with relevant industry stakeholders, key customers and distributors
Determine and manage marketing budget and coordinate marketing presence at industry trade shows
