The Retail Marketing Coordinator provides leadership, vision, and oversight of a departmental marketing effort for the Colorado State University Bookstore. This position works collaboratively within Colab: Lory Student Center Marketing, the Division of Student Affairs, and throughout the University to utilize integrated communication methods to strategize for and promote the CSU Bookstore. This position coordinates and implements integrated communications including graphic design, media production, public relations, social media, marketing, special events and supervision of student hourly staff. Successful candidates will have demonstrated ability to manage projects independently, work effectively as part of a team, and integrate the needs of the Bookstore team with the marketing goals of the LSC and the University. This is a part time, 12-month, Administrative Professional position that reports to the Director of Marketing. Work schedule: Monday – Friday, Business Hours dependent on department scheduling needs, University calendar, area requirements, and CSU Bookstore, LSC and marketing department events. Some weekend and evening events throughout the year, occasional overnight trips.
o Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related communications and strategic planning-related field with five years full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience in communications, marketing or public relations; and five years demonstrated successful experience in e-commerce marketing, retail marketing and lead generation OR Master’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or related communications and strategic planning-related field with three years full-time (or equivalent part-time) work experience in communications, marketing or design field; and three years demonstrated successful experience in e-commerce marketing, retail marketing and lead generation o Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office and industry software including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) o Demonstrated work experience overseeing, managing and tracking projects o Documented success in return on investment for retail-related campaigns o Documented Supervisory experience Documented working knowledge of marketing processes, marketing strategic plan development, including follow-up assessments
