POSITION TITLE: Marketing & Outreach Project Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Marketing & Outreach
Provides outreach to local bar associations, through developing support materials, presentations and pushing out presidential initiatives. Travels with the State Bar President to various local bars for speaking engagements. Coordinates the Local Bar Leaders Conference including meeting setup, audio visual, food and beverage, hotel rooming list and processing final invoice. Creates and coordinates the yearly Law Day statewide contest and celebration, organizes and handles all aspects of the local bars Stars of Texas Bars Awards Judging.
Responsible for the development and implementation of projects and initiatives designed to continue and improve the relationship between the State Bar and local bar associations across the state.
Coordinates and assists with State Bar leadership involvement with local bars.
Communicates and provides Local Bar Associations with information and available resources such as speaker coordination, membership emails, and mailing lists.
Responsible for the Bar Leaders Conference: coordination of program, speakers, accommodations, printing, travel, conference set-up and processing invoices.
Creates Law Day brochure, web page and encourages Local Bars to hold local contests. Organizes catering, judging, awards, certificates, court tour and travel reimbursements for Statewide contest.
Creates Stars of Texas Bars brochure, web page and encourages Local Bars to submit entries. Posts entries on Jot Form and works with the Local Bar Services Committee in judging the entries. Responsible for notifying the winners, ordering awards, preparing power point and attending the Bar Leaders luncheon where awards are presented.
Serves as staff liaison to the Local Bar Services Committee, including. coordinating committee meetings, assembling materials and talking points.
Assists in law firm and exhibitor tracking, and registrations for the State Bar of Texas Annual Meeting. Assists with onsite event coordination.
Generates, composes, edits and prepares letters, newsletters, brochures, reports, correspondence and other documents for promotion and marketing plans.
A minimum of 3 years of related work experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must have a professional demeanor with excellent creative writing and editing skills. Ability to give effective presentations before small and large groups. Must be able to work with strict time deadlines, multiple activities and demanding situations. Must be diplomatic and enthusiastic in coordinating with State Bar leadership, staff and the public. Operate personal computers at a high level of proficiency in MS Office applications, Word, Excel, iMis, Salesforce and PowerPoint and to include presentation equipment. Some travel, evening and weekend work required.
